Food just average. Service is great. Not really eighties themed in any particular manner. Food comes out hot and fast. Nothing spectacular. Prices are fair. Portions could be slightly more. Eggs Benny bland. Edible. But bland. Will try again.Edit. Went back for lunch. Got club and fries with gravy. This second meal was better and giving it a 3.9.

eighties restaurant is another delicious place you can go for a great meal, whenever I had over there I usually just get the eggs Benny because it's so delicious. They have a bunch of other various menu items like clubhouse sandwiches and fried pickles. it's a laid-back quiet environment that's nice to go to to have a conversation with whoever you're with. And they've been around for a very long time.

Nice breakfast option in Lonsdale.Service was fast and efficient.Food is pretty standard but everything was done well.Clearly their approach had stood the test of time..there are trendier breakfast options out their but if you want a classic dining experience give the eighties a go..

This is a traditional community dinner that opens early and closes late. Very good food and kind service.

This food was very dated as the decore was. Not there most memorable either. But If you are looking for a cheap breakfast this will do

I have enjoyed this family business 😁 my entire life! My mom loves Johnny's friend chicken, my uncle loves his veal cutlet with mashed potatoes, my grandmother and grandfather brought us together for breakfast for all special occasions, and I bring my son here and he loves the gash browns. I always have the 80's special scramble with 🥓 bacon. Delicious food 😋👌!

So delicious, would recommend to any North Vancouverite. The location is great, too.

The best place for brunch in Vancouver. Everything on the all day breakfast menu is amazing, especially the Eggs Benedict. I go every month and always get the Bacon Benny! They have really good milkshakes too.

Very good, straightforward, high quality food. The eighties decor is not ironic or gimmicky--I felt genuinely transported back to that decade, a time which precedes me.

Great place for a low key and cheap brunch. Definitely not the fanciest but the food comes out fresh and with a 10-13 dollar price point for brunch you can't go wrong!

I go mainly for breakfast and Ive been there maybe less than 10 times in the past 3 years. But I generally had good experience with everything there. I recommend this place.

Service is slow. Food is hot and fast. They're always busy. But waiting 20/minutes for a drink is a bit much. Good family spot for breakfast. And everyone is friendly. Last of a dying breed after church spot.

I love how relaxed this place is. A look and feel of how North Van was in days gone by. You can get waffles with fried chicken, and liver and onions! The food is homey, so if you're looking for down to earth, genuine servers, this is your spot.

Really nice restaurant for breakfast, special offer breakfast choice good. Easy to park, not so easy to find, it is on 14th Street which is pedestrian only. Friendly server and quick service.

I went here for brunch on the patio. The chorizo benny was very tasty and I really enjoyed the food in the sunny weather. The staff were nice and friendly as well.

Servers were taking their time and chit chatting with each ,knowing we were there sitting for about 15 mins .the soup was definitely from a can, fake chicken may as well go to Denny’s by lions gate bridge.never again will we go there or recommend it..

Love the place for it's cozy environment and food. Somehow the quality of food has gone down in last year or so.

The Eighties was great. Our server was very nice and attentive. The food came promptly and was exactly what we ordered. The prices were more than fair for the quality. And there is cheap pay parking right below :)

Our server was very slow. It took us from the moment we sat down till we gave our orders around 18-20 mins. When our food came out, it came on one plate at a time even though she said it was all ready.The food tasted fine, nothing to brag about just fine. The price of the food wasn't terrible , some good deals there if I must say so. The cutlery was kinda dirty too, didn't seem washed correctly or they were rusting.A lot of steps for someone who is injured.When paying, the rest of my party were leaving and I was paying, the server tried to talk to the leaving party even though it was obvious there was no interest and we we're in a rush to leave the place.Would I come back to this place. Maybe, if desperate for food.

The food here was delicious! It was still summer when I was here so I had dinner on the patio. Lovely atmosphere, the staff were very good. I even had dessert! So good. I would definitely go back there any time of the day or evening.

I don't think I'll ever get tired of going to this place! Started off as my hangover spot of choice, but the burgers have developed and I love it even more! Good milkshakes too! I'll keep coming as long as they're open!

Eighties has always been a wonderful dinner to go to. Great breakfast food at all times of the day. Friendly staff who really get to know returning customers - and a lot of customers do return often!I've tried all aspects of the menu, and I've liked them all, but I will always recommend breakfast items. Many of my friends come back to the daily specials or appetizer selections, so there's more than just that which pleases.Good food, good prices, and a wonderful patio for sunny days.

Stopped there for our Easter breakfast. The food was great and everything came to the table hot including our tea. Georgina our waitress was fabulous making sure everything was to our liking. Not to mention she had a great personality. Thanks Georgina

Real food, good service.

I've been eating here since I was born. It's great humble food for a great humble price. Opens very early and closes at 8pm. It's something of a local favourite.

Our family has been going to Eighties for years. We usually bring our extended family or friends. On most days they deserve a solid five stars for service and food.Today was different - after we ordered we were informed of a 15% gratuity (which is around what we would have tipped). When we explained that we have been going here for years (and tip well) and usually bring more than five people and have never been forced charged a gratuity, the server said it was not a new rule. She was not one of the servers that recognized us.We have a family of three young children, all under ten years old, so we will always have five people or more. Anyways, what the server said, and the way it was presented, rubbed us the wrong way, it affected the joy of our meal, and makes us not want to return.The food service industry is all about experience and today's experience was poor.

Nice tradicional cozy place. Sian did a good job with an impecable fast service.All our seafood, veggie and plain omelettes were very delicious and Sian understood our desire of not having carbo and replaced them by delicious salad. The chef salad was very well presented and generously delicious as well.Coffee was also a plus!!! It is a place to go back

Excellent food great and friendly staff

I'm honestly not sure if it was good or if I was just really hungry at the time. The whole place just felt like it needed a deep clean. Also not sure when it got the name since the only thing from the 80s in there was the spiderwebs in the bathroom.

Phoned to inquire whether they do reservations for Mother’s Day weekend. The waitress on the phone was unhelpful, disinterested as if I was bothering her by asking if they want our business. Ended up phoning another restaurant, where their waiter was sincere and courteous, which is where we will be having brunch instead. A word of advice to the owner/manager of Eighties: Customer service and attitude goes a long way.

My family discovered this gem on our last visit to Vancouver. Phenomenal menu with an extensive selection of quality food! We loved it so much we returned the following night! I thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp avocado club (not toasted), and chicken strips. While my family devoured chicken and ribs, lasagna, sweet crepes.....the list goes on. Our fabulous waitress for one evening was Jericho and she truly was a gem of a host, she was attentive, friendly, thorough and we thank her for our lovely experience. We will most definitely return

Eighties is one of those no nonsense restaurants where you get exactly what you expect. The service is always top notch friendly and the coffee great.

worst service. the two times i’ve been there i had to wait over 30 minutes to pay, even when the restaurant was not busy at all. of course i didn’t tip, so i received a passive aggressive and sassy response from the waitress. food was decent, but wish the burger patties real and fresh.
